Joseph Warren Revere sails for Europe from Boston.

The son of Paul Revere, he tours copperworks in England, France, the Netherlands and Germany to study their methods and examine their machinery and equipment. Revere returns to Boston and, upon the retirement of his father, takes over the family business in 1811.
